Part Alien, part Jaws, part It's Alive, part #noir, all B-Movie, this one starts off with a bang and doesn't let up. This Saturday we return with "The Baron of Arizona," from 1950, starring Vincent Price. Talk about a long con. Price plays James Reavis, a swindler whose latest scam is to lay claim to the entirety of Arizona. Loosely based on a true story, the real Reavis almost pulled it off! Imagine that, owning a whole state. Who mows the lawn? For this one we put down a growler of The Time is Ripe, a hazy apricot IPA from Three Weavers Brewing Company.

We finish shOctober this Saturday in grand style, with 1963's "The Haunted Palace." Do you like H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Vincent Price, Lon Chaney Jr. and Roger Corman? Well, this movie has all of them. It's a loose adaptation of Lovecraft's "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward," and is the first cinematic mention of Lovecraft's "Necronomicon," as well as Cthulhu and Yog Sothoth. And what better beer to have with this collaboration than a collaboration between Mikkeller and Anchorage Brewing, Mikkeller "AK Alive," an Alaskan wild ale. It's an interesting beer for an interesting movie. Join us.

"The House That Screamed," a 1969 Spanish horror film, show you don't have to be violent or gory to be scary. It crawls right under your skin and waits there until the disturbing end. While Spanish, it has the vibe of Italian giallo films. Tis the season, so we dive into Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale for this one. Join us.

Get Ready for some spooky fun with Alan and his theater troupe in 1972's "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things." There is some strange magic going on in this flick, so we drank Strange Magic from Moonraker Brewing Company from Auburn, California.

To get our heads right for this insanity, we got after it with Head in the Clouds Juicy DIPA from Santa Monica Brew Works.
